Training hubs are key in the delivery of an integrated primary care workforce. These networks of locally based/facing education and service providers (NHS and non-NHS) are tasked with increasing the capacity and capability of the primary and community care workforce, with the aim to meet the current and future health and social care (H&SC) needs of a geographically defined population.

Training hubs provide the mechanism through which HEE local offices, HEIs and others work together with provider partners to secure the education and workforce transformation required, in line with national directives and DHSC mandate, across neighbourhoods and place, within STP footprints.
