Launched in 2012, FedBucks’ Minor Surgery Service offers a competitively priced private service for the removal of lesions such as cysts, moles, birth marks and skin tags.

FedBucks offers a competitively priced service for £325 which includes:

  • Pre-surgery counselling and advice
  • Removal of up to two lesions (if you have two lesions, you will require referral to the service by your GP)
  • Analysis at a histology laboratory of up to two samples.
  • Follow-up appointment to remove any stitches, if required.
  • Follow up letter to you, copied to your GP for information.

Please note you can self-refer for one lesion however we would strongly suggest you visit your GP to ascertain that the lesion is suitable for removal and should not be removed via an NHS funded service; as this service is not suitable for suspected cancers.

If you are unsure whether you wish to go ahead with surgery, or need advice, you can also book an initial consultation appointment with an experienced clinic doctor for £65.

Our clinics currently operate at Wye Valley Surgery, High Wycombe and at The Marlow Medical Group, Marlow.

Minor Surgery Service – Specialist GPs

FedBucks works with independent GPs who offer their specialised services in Minor Surgery.

Dr Waqar Hussain at Wye Valley Surgery
Dr Waqar Hussain qualified from Rawalpindi Medical College Pakistan in 1987 before joining the Holy Family Hospital in General Surgery, where he spent his time training for his practical surgical skills.

In August 1998 he completed the Luton & Dunstable Hospital GP training scheme and immediately joined the Wye Valley Surgery in High Wycombe. He has been doing regular minor surgery sessions since then, taking the Minor Surgery Lead in his own practice. Dr Hussain has almost 20 years’ experience in performing minor surgical procedures and started working as a surgeon for this service in Oct 2011.

He has continued to keep his knowledge and skills current and regularly attends minor surgery courses. Dr Hussain is FedBucks’ Clinical Lead for Minor Surgery.
