Local GPs are working together to offer patients better access to appointments in General Practice in Buckinghamshire, known as the ‘Enhanced Access’ Service. This means you can now book an appointment in a practice local to you:
- Up until 20:00, Monday to Friday
- For selected hours on a Saturday (your registered practice can confirm which practices are open, and their opening hours on this day)
All appointments need to be pre-booked, either in advance or on the day.
How to book an Enhanced Access appointment
To book an Enhanced Access appointment ring your GP Surgery as normal, where the reception staff will tell you where clinics are being held on what day, and the times of the available appointments. A convenient appointment will then be booked for you. Please note, this is not a “walk in” service – if you need urgent medical advice after 18:30, please phone NHS 111.
FedBucks Enhanced Access Hubs
On Saturdays and weekday evenings, FedBucks offer Enhanced Access appointments from 08:00-16:30 (Saturdays) and 18.30 – 20.00 (weekdays). These appointments can be booked through the practice you are registered with, and are being offered from Enhanced Access hubs located at:
ARC PCN: Beaconsfield Medical Centre, The Simpson Centre (including Penn Surgery), Millbarn Medical Centre, Marlow Medical Group, Bourne End and Wooburn Green Medical Centre, Highfield Surgery and Cherrymead Surgery
