FedBucks’ Intermediate Gynaecology Service is an integrated community gynaecology service dedicated to women registered with a GP in Buckinghamshire. This innovative service is a collaboration between FedBucks and the Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust, leading initiatives for Women’s Health in Buckinghamshire in partnership with the BOB Integrated Care Board
Service Overview
FedBucks’ Intermediate Gynaecology Service provides a single point of access for gynaecology services across Buckinghamshire. The primary goal of the service is to ensure that patients receive timely care from the appropriate specialist in the most suitable setting. Patients may be referred to community gynaecology clinics or hospital clinics within the Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust.
This service operates as a comprehensive hub for all gynaecology referrals, with established pathways for necessary procedures and ultrasounds. Patients suitable for care at community clinics are seen by either GPs with a special interest in gynaecology or consultants from the Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust.
